At HEX Graphics, strong leadership is at the heart of what we do, and Ian Williams, our Fitting Group Leader, is a perfect example of that.

With 20 years of experience in the industry and nine of those years here at HEX Graphics, Ian has become something of a fitting guru. When he first joined us, he led a small team of 4 fitters. Fast forward to today, after some serious growth, Ian now heads up a team of 15+, overseeing every step of our graphics application and fitting process.

Ian’s role keeps him on his toes. Every day is different, and being Group Leader means tackling whatever challenges pop up. Whether he’s quality-checking newly wrapped fleets, guiding prototypes, or training his team, Ian’s hands-on approach and dedication make him a vital part of HEX Graphics.

But he doesn’t just stop at vehicles! Over the years, Ian has also played a big role in many of our out-of-home branding projects, like the HEX Living stand wrap at Uttoxeter Racecourse and The HEX Group’s internal rebrand.

We recently sat down with Ian to chat about his time with us, and here’s what he had to say:

“Being with HEX Graphics for as long as I have, it’s been fantastic to see how much we’ve grown and how the team has evolved. One project that really stands out for me was the Cadent rebrand a few years back. It was a huge project, and the team had to work in sync to stay efficient. Even though we put in a lot of hours, seeing the final product and our customer’s reaction made it all worth it.

As Group Leader, there’s a lot of responsibility on my shoulders, but I make sure to build strong connections with my teammates. We have such a good team culture, and there’s always a laugh to be had, which really helps during the busier times.”

When he’s not being a fitting fanatic, Ian is all about sports. He loves going shooting with his dogs on weekends and is a dedicated Stoke City supporter. He’s also a proud family man, recently celebrating the arrival of two grandkids!
